Mixed Media Canvas and a Fond Faiwell

Trudy+Post+header Helamr no USA

Hi everyone! My post today is bitter-sweet. It's my last post as an official Helmar Hottie, but you know what they say...Once a Helamr Hottie, always a Helmar Hottie!.
I love this team and their products but sometimes we get so busy in our crafty lives that we just have to step back and make decisions based off of nessesity and not from our hearts.
Now on to the sweet part of today's post...
I love buttons and am excited to share my mixed media canvas with you. I used lots of buttons form our prefered partner company Buttons Galore's - Candy Apple Green mix and a few from some of their other beautiful assortments.

Allies Hopes2

I used the adorable Spirit Girl stamp illustrated by Suzi Blu from Stampavie, that was given to me from my sweet friend Allie Gower. The sentiment is one of Tim Holtz - Stamper's Anonymous from the "Just Thought" set. I water colored the image and used lots of Ranger Adirondack inks to drip in the sky.
I used my all time favorite decoupage...from Helmar of course! :)
The stems and leaves are Really Reasonable Ribbon's - Leaf Trim.
Of course I had to sneak in some Want2Scrap...the pearls on her shirt are 72 count Sage Green Pearls.

Hope BG and glue

BTW... Over at the Want2Scrap blog, we are doing a fund-raiser for cancer and have lots of beautiful ATC's that will go to some very lucky people!
For more information on how you can join us in the Passionately Pink For a Cure" campaign, head over to the Want2Scrap blog.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs,
True :D

Inky Antic's "Clearly Fun" Blog Hop and My CardMaker Magazine "Outside of the Box" Card

Hello Everyone!

So glad you could join us for another fun Inky Antics blog hop!
If you are here from Michelle's blog, you are in the right place! If you just happened onto my blog, you will want to head over to the Inky blog and start from the beginning. You don't want to miss a thing! All of the girls have created projects with Inky's new clear cardstock!

First off, I have to tell you that my card today is a double duty project.
We have a new feature over on the CardMaker Magazine blog called "Outside of the Box" where we pick one of our cards that was published in a older issue and recreate it with differnt products.  It is a great way to show that you don't have to have the exact same products to CASE a card. :)
For a peek at the original card as it looked in CardMaker Magazine, and to see my tips on how to create cards with clear bases without adhesives showing anywhere, please pop over to the CardMaker blog!

Here is the card I created for the article and the hop with Inky's clear cardstock.

For this version, I used Inkys' #10017E "Contempo Flower" and #0214D "Mini Thinking of You" illustrated by Monica Lee. Both stamps, as well as the clear cardstock, can be found HERE.

Here is a photo of the inside.

If you like the look of the clear cardstock, you won't want to miss Inky's April special. A FREE package of clear cardstock with a $40.00 or more purchase. See details HERE.

The blog hop starts today and ends on Sunday, April 22nd  at midnight Central time. Please visit each DT members’ blog to view their projects and leave a comment for each designer. The more you comment, the better your chances are to win. (Limit one comment per blog, please). Two people’s names will be drawn at random to receive a surprise Inky prize pack. The winners’ names will be announced on the Inky Antics  blog next Monday, so remember to stop back and see if you’ve won.

Your next stop on the hop is Debbie's blog.

Supplies Used: Clear Cardstock, "Contempo Flower" and Mini "Thinking of you"  stamps from Inky Antics;  Brilliant White, Pink Lemonade and Herbal Garden cardstock from Discount Card Stock; 72 Count Pink Rhinestones and 72 Count Sage Pearls from Want2Scrap; Transparent Ultra-fine Glitter and Designer Dries Clear Glue from Art Glitter Institute; "Watercolor Bouquet designer paper from K&Company; Flowers from Prima Marketing; Square Nestabilities and Wizard Die Cutting Machine from Spellbinders Paper Arts; Glue Runner Adhesive from GlueArts; Liquid Adhesive from Beacon Adhesives.

Welcome to CardMaker Magazine Blog's "Rock Star" Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone!

The CardMaker girls were all asked to create a card that is inspired by a Rock song.

For my card, I used both the lyrics and the name of the group for my inspiration.
Have a peek and see if you can figure it out before you scroll down for the answer.  ;)

The image is #10204G "Ladybug Love Boarder" and the sentiment is #10203G "Happy Love" from Inky Antics. I added the "...is all you need!" part in MS Word.
I used Want2Scrap's - 72 count Rhinestones in Black and Hot Pink.

OK...did you figure out how my card relates to the "Rock Star" theme?
Another name for ladybugs is ladybird "BEATLES", and the Beatles sang "All You Need Is Love". :)

I would love it of you left me some before you hop away! Let me know if you guessed correctly too! :)

Here are the links to the rest of the girl's cards. I bet they are going to be Fun Fun Fun!
Hey...that reminds me of a song too! ;)
Trudy Sjolander (That's Me!)

When you are finished with the hop, you could go check out the Want2Scrap blog. It's my day to post there and I used this same card but there are lots of other amazing "blinged" up projects there, as well as as ATC  fund raiser for breast cancer research. :)

Thanks for hopping by!

Hello everyone and...

The designers from Really Reasonable Ribbon and The Rubber Cafe, have teamed up to share some fabulous creations with you!
If you are here from The Rubber Cafe blog, you are in the right place! If you just happened on to my blog, you will want to go back there and start from the beginning! You don't want to miss any of the girls projects! You also don't want to miss commenting on everyone's blogs to help with your chances of winning an amazing prize! :)

I used The Rubber Cafe's Large Trailing Butterflies and several colors of ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon's April Monthly Ribbon Club assortment for my card today.

I stamped the image twice on Discount Card Stock's Brilliant White, so I could pop a few butterflies, then colored them with Copic markers.

The other papers are Banana Split and Nautical Blue, also from Discount Card Stock. After assembling my card, I added some pretty bling from Want2Scrap.

This is what the awesome April club assortment looks like.
If you are not already a member of the ribbon club, there is no better time to join. CLICK HERE for more info.

The Rubber Cafe will be giving away a butterfly stamp set, some glitter and some glitter glue.
Really Reasonable Ribbon will be giving away this prize package...
