Turkey "Fries", Wild Mushrooms and a Coloring Tutorial with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol ;)

Hi Everyone!

Did the title get your attention?  ;) LOL!
What do these things all have in common you ask?
Well, they are all things I did last night.

Hubby and I ate like hillbillies last night!
We love hunting wild Morel mushrooms and 'tis the season. These were fresh picked yesterday.
It is sad that they are only in season for a few weeks each year. :(

I also found some turkey fries at the grocer's the other day and you almost never can find them.
For those of you who don't know what turkey fries are...let's just say that only male turkeys have 'em. :)

I paired them up with a big batch of Morels and we had us a down home, finger lickin', country fried supper!

OK...now for the crafty stuff....
I did a coloring tutorial for Clearly iStamp with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.

Here is the card I created for the tutorial.

The paper is from K&Company's ~ Susan Winget's "Nature" designer stack.

CLICK HERE to see the tutorial...after you leave me a comment...hint hint. :)

Thanks for dropping by!
Hugs,
True :D

Oh True, you're a girl after my own heart! When I was a kid, my dad had a friend who would bring over the wild morels and fry them up for us because his family refused to eat them. They are deeee-lish! I have never had turkey fries, but I'll try just about anything. . .it all looks fantastic :D

Of course your card is super lovely too ;)

I can't wait to find Mushrooms this year! My entire family loves them. I was raised to be a mushroom hunter. My dad is the BEST, he comes home from Florida just for this reason. Thanks for sharing.

This card is adorable... love the big purple bow! I can do without the turkey fries though... EWWWWWWw! Calf fries are a delicacy here in Texas and I won't eat them either! In fact, if it wasn't for hanburgers, I could live completely without meat! LOL Thanks for sharing all this though.

Hi Trudy- I loved your videos. I actually referred my sister to them because we had been talking about using the gamasol. One question---what is the blue thing that you're using to dispense the gamasol? I have a hearing problem and couldn't understand what you said it was. That dispenser is a great idea. I stick my stump in the bottle!
