"Winter's Night" Card and a Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone!

It's the 13th of the month so it's time for another Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings blog hop!

If you found your way here from Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings, you are in the right place!
If you just happened on to my blog, head on back there, because that it where it all starts! :)
You don't want to miss any of the awesome projects the girls have created for your viewing pleasure...or a chance at a great prize from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

This month's Ribbon Club kit has lots of beautiful white ribbons in it. The cool thing about this set is it is great for all of those winter cards, they will work wonderfully into Valentine's day and then you can use them on pastel spring cards. You can always color them to match your cardstock too. I always keep lots of white on hand for that reason!

I broke out with a Flourishes "Forest of Trees" stamp set to create today's card.

I stamped the trees in black, punched a small circle to use as a mask for the moon then used several shades of Ranger's Archival inks in blue to fade in my night sky. I then added a little acrylic paint, and some chunky "snow" glitter and Stickles. I used some Ranger Liquid Pearls and the embellishment de resistance is the pretty white bow and ribbon from RRR December's Monthly Club kit.

The cardstock is Soot, Navy Twill, and Brilliant White from Discount Card Stock.
It was all put together with Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

If you aren't a ribbon club member, now would be a great time to sign up!
You get automatic shipments of 10-15 yards of assorted beautiful ribbons for just $9.00 domestic and $11.50 international!
You can also give your favorite crafter the gift that keeps on giving by purchasing a GIFT Subscription to the  ribbon club for 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months! It's a super idea and your friends will LOVE you for it! :)

This is what the entire December club kit looks like...

Bonnie will be giving away an December Ribbon Monthly Club kit to a random commentor so please make sure and comment on all of the girl's projects to increase your chances of winning!

Your next stop on the hop is Judy's joyful blog. You're gonna love it! :)
Thanks so much for dropping by today!
Hugs,
True :D

20 Days of Holiday Sharing @ 2 Peas Guest Designer Project

Hi Everyone!
Today's project was chosen as one of the "20 Days of Holiday Sharing" projects over @ 2 Peas In a Bucket.
I am honored to be the "Featured Guest Designer" today!  ;)
I made this wine bottle tag for a hostess gift. One of my aunts holds an annual Christmas party for our extended family and we always try to take a little something for her and my uncle.
This year, I decorated a bottle of my favorite wine with foil wrapping paper and a handmade tag.

Yummy wine but it made a much nicer presentation with the wrapping! :)

The stamp is from the "Forest of Trees" set @ Flourishes.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Hugs,
True :D

CAS "Thank You" Card

Hello!
Sometimes you need a card quick but just can't bring yourself to go buy an impersonal store-bought card.
Or perhaps you are a beginner or want to craft with a kid. CAS  (Clean And Simple) are great for these occations! Although I usually do detailed cards with lots of coloring and "stuff", I like CAS too.
I created this card for "Really Reasonable Ribbon" It only took a 5" piece of this pretty "Funky Pink and Brown Vertical Stripe" ribbon.  that is part of this months Ribbon Club set. This ribbon is only .25 cents a yard so the piece on this card only costs about .04 cents. Not too shabby for a focal point! You could do a gift set of these for a very nice gift without spending hardly anything!

I picked my ribbon first the found 2 pieces of scrap paper that matched. Not a bad way to use up small pieces either! These pieces are from The Paper Temptress out of their "True's Favorites" package that I got to pick! It is on sale now for 20% off. The colors are Cappuccino Mica Metallic and Mountain Rose Glimmer. The card base is their Heavenly White.
The scallops were done with Stampin'Up's scallop punch and the Cappuccino CD was embossed with Cuttlebug Dots folder. Add a Prima flower and a pretty button and viola! A beautiful card in about 15 minutes! I also added a Flourishes sentiment from their "Thankful Hearts" set.

Click on the picture for a close up look at that pretty ribbon and cardstock!

Thanks for dropping by! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I would love to see a comment from you!
You can also head on over to our Really Reasonable Ramblings blog and see what the other girls have been up to lately.

True :D

My Christmas cards are "ALL WRAPPED UP" LOL! Flourishes ATC (FTTC47)

Hello!
Hope you have your Christmas shopping "All Wrapped UP". LOL!
Mine is finally! I procrastinated soooo badly this year.
Over @ Flourishes, they are doing their  Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC47).
They ask that we make an ATC (Artist's Trading Card). They are cute little 21/2" by 31/2" cards that you can trade, use as gift tags, or mount to a card base to make a quick greeting card.
This will be my last Christmas project of the year so it is very fitting that I used their "All Wrapped Up" set.
I is a beautiful set with lots of pretty packages in all sizes. This card is tiny so I used one of the smallest stamps.

I stamped extra images of the packages so I could pop them then added some sparkle with my Stickles that I love soooo much! The green cardstock is Bazzil Canvas and the gold id from DCWV Metallic stack.
The image was stamped with Staz-On  black and the edges were colored with Colorbox Cats eye in Lipstick. The image was water colored. The ribbons were colored with a Sharpie Gold marker.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:
Stamp With Us - Christmas
Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes!
Stamp Something - Holiday Somethings
Cupcake Craft - Celebrations
Hey...if you have not signed up for my latest blog candy...CLICK HERE to go sign up! Ends Jan. 16th.
Thanks again for stopping by!
I hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas Trees in Indigo with "The Paper Temptress" Papers

Hello!
I got this pretty Flourishes stamp set in the mail the other day and could not wait to make a card with it!
I used the single pine tree image and stamped it several times on "The Paper Temptress's" "Blanc Sparkle" paper to make my own little "forest" of Christmas trees. I then sponged indigo blue watercolor to make the night time sky. The star and snowflakes were drawn on with a Sharpie fine tip white poster marker then hit with some Stickles -icicle glitter glue.

The frame and large square are "The Paper Temptress's" "White Diamonds" and the smaller square is their "Iridescent Virtual Pearl".
I absolutely LOVE their papers. The photos just don't do the sparkle justice. They are so pretty in person and they are so rich and heavy, they are nice to touch too. Sounds funny but I love the feel of very high quality papers!
I added some silver stitching and ribbon to top it off. This was a simple card to make but because of the extraordinarily gorgeous papers it is also very elegant....ahem....if I say so myself!  ;)

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge - CAS (Clean And Simple)
I kept clean by not adding tons of embellies or patterened paper.
Daring Card Makers - I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas
Create a card that is mostly white with just a touch of coloring
Secret Crafter Saturday - Christmas Trees
Creatalicious Challenge - Something for Christmas with lots of sparkle and snowflakes
The papers, ribbons, star and tiny snowflakes all sparkle!
Two Red Bananas - Christmas/Winter Card
Whimsy Challenge - Monochromatic
The Pink Elephant - Color Me Wonderful
Use your favorite coloring medium
watercolors are #1 fave!
Kaboodle Doodles - Snowflakes
They are small but they are there! ;)
Stamp With Fun - Christmas
Creative Card Crew - Christmas
ABC Challenge - I is for Indigo
Paper Play Challenge - Christmas Without Red or Green
The Paper Temptress - Christmas

If you have not already signed up for my blog candy, now would be a great time! It is the top post.
