Check Out CardMaker Magazine's 2013 Calendar!

Hi everyone!

I am super excited (and honored) to tell you about a beautiful calendar that any card artist would love to have.
It's CardMaker magazine's 2013 calendar!

Why am I so excited you ask? Well...it's a beautiful calendar and.... I have the November and December slots!
The November card was done with one of my own digi stamps too!
It is available through Clear Dollar Stamps in either pre-colored or line art only versions.

They even added full instruction pages, complete with a materials/manufacturer list, and an artist's bio page! How awesome is that? :)

Do you have friends or family that love handmade greeting cards?
This just might be the perfect Christmas gift. Don't forget to get one for yourself while you are at it! ;)  ;)
They will be available in some major book stores very soon, but you can get yours now at Annie's.

Thanks for dropping by today and sharing in my excitement! :)

I Found Another "Published" Card I haven't Shared Yet! LOL!

Hi again everyone!
This is my second post for the day so please scroll down to see my layout.  ;)

Usually, when you have a project in a book or magazine, they would like you to wait awhile to post them on our blogs. Of course the September issue of CardMaker was a little different for me because I was the "Featured Designer" and they also featured me for several weeks on their Facebook page and asked me to show the cards form that issue. It's a good thing because I won't forget them like I did this card! LOL!  ;)
I was looking though all of my Basic Grey cards and came across it. I used their Granola stack which is an oldie but goody.  It was new when I made this card! LOL!
BTW...when I went looking for the link to Granola, I found they still have some in stock and it is on a mega clearance! The 12x12 paper pad was $20.00 and is on sale for just $5.00! Wow! That's crazy cheap!

My card was published in the "Coloring Techniques For Card Making" book by DRG Publishing along with 4 others I created. It can be found on page 31. ;)

The adorable image #0659J "Puppy Love" from Inky Antics.

Thanks for taking a peek!
Don't forget to scroll down to see what else I've done today!  :)

Hugs,
True :D

More Cards From The September Issue of CardMaker!

Hi Everyone!
Today is the third and final week that CardMaker is featuring me on their Facebook page as the September issue's "Featured Designer".
Because they have been doing that, I have been able to share the cards that I created for that issue!
I showed you one last week and one the week before and I have 2 left. Both of them are simple cards that would be easy for even the newest card make to recreate.
The first is "Autumn Blessings". It can be found on page 6 (the Editor's Notes page) and page 49 of the September issue of CardMaker.
I used a digital stamp that I illustrated for Clear Dollar Stamps called "Autumn Blessings". It is available for instant download  for just $2.50!
Why not get a jump on your Fall and Thanksgiving projects? ;)

My last card is called "Fall Thank You" and can be found on the upper right hand corner of the cover and on page 53.

I can't share my card recipe because of publication rights but you can find all of the details for these and my 2 other cards in the September issue of CardMaker
Did you know you can also buy the digital version of CardMaker? It is awesome!

Look for more of my projects in the November issue that's coming out soon!

Thanks for dropping by!

Hugs,
True :D

PS...I would love it if you headed over to CardMaker's Facebook page, like them and tell them Trudy sent ya!  :)

Another of my cards that was featured in CardMaker's September issue

Hi Everyone!
This is my second post of the day sooo....
If you're looking for the Inky Antics "Our Crafty Spaces" blog hop, please scroll down. :)

CardMaker is featuring me again today on their Facebook page so I get to share another of my cards that made the September issue. :)
This is a Fall wedding card titled "Simple Elegance" and can be found on page 35.

The call was for silhouette cards and they also needed some wedding cards so I combined the two. Who says silhouette cards have to be black and white? :)
For the card recipe, you'll have to check it out in the magazine.
Did you know they have an online version of CardMaker
It's really cool...you don't have to wait for the mail and you can see back issues and special features that are not in the paper version. I subscribe to both! :)

Hugs and happy crafting!

CardMaker Magazine Featured Designer

Hi Everyone!

This is my 2nd post of the day so please scroll down to see my latest announcement and venture!

If you subscribe to CardMaker magazine, you probably have already seen my mug in the "Featured Designer" article of the September issue. It was such a huge honor to have been featured!
CardMaker told me that they will also be featuring me on their Facebook page for the last 3 Tuesdays of this month. They invited me to share one of my cards that was published in that issue on each Tuesday.
I would LOVE to! :)

The first one I'm sharing is my "Halloween Glitz" card that can be found on page 13.

It was done with a digital stamp that I illustrated called "Autumn Friends".
The beautiful ribbon that adds the "Glitz" to the card title is Purple Glitz from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
For the rest of the supply list and the directions, please see page 13 of the September issue of CardMaker.

I have a current blog candy running that is a gift from Basic Grey and myself.
It is a "Pickadilly Page Kit" that won't even be available in stores until October! I have also thrown in some coordinating ribbons and embellishments from my stash.

For a chance to win, all you have to do is:
1. Become a follower if you aren't already.
2. Leave a comment on this post or any others that I post this month.
3. As a bonus, if you go and "LIKE" CardMaker on Facebook and tell them True :D sent you, I will also throw in a "Coloring Techniques For Card Making" book that I was a co-contributor in.
It's donated by DRG Publishing.

The winner will be announced on September 1st.

Thanks so much to DRG/CardMaker for all you do!

Thanks also to all of my awesome followers for your kind comments and for checking in on me from time to time!

Big hugs,
True :D

Sharing One of My Inky Antics Cards That Got Published!

~*~*~ Looking for the Really Reasonable Ribbon's blog hop? Scroll down 1 post. ;) ~*~*~

Hi Everyone!
Last year I was honored to have been asked to be a co-contributing artist to a wonderful book called "Coloring Techniques For Card Making" written by the fabulous Keri Lee Sereika and published by Annie's Attic.
I had 5 cards in this awesome book and got to show the 1st one when we did a release blog hop back in August. You can see that card HERE
Since Annie's Attic bought publication rights, my friend Tanya Fox (editor of the book) said we have to wait 6 months to show any of the other photos on our blogs, which is only fair. ;)
Time flies and it has been over 6 months now, so I thought I would share one with you today.

Funny thing is, I used an Inky Antics stamp called "Turtle's Balloon" and am now on their very first design team! Small world! ;)

I can't give you the card recipe or details but you can find them on page 42 of the "Coloring Techniques For Card Making" book. ;)

You can purchase either the soft-cover copy or the PDF Electronic Download version.

I will post some of the other cards that were published within the next couple of weeks so keep checking back! :)

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Hugs,
True :D

SUPER EXCITING NEWS!!!!! Join me in the "Coloring Techniques for Card Making" Book Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Coloring Techniques for Card Making Blog Hop! Today we wanted to introduce you to a brand new, must-have book that has been written to help shed some light on some of the hottest trends in coloring techniques in paper crafting today.

Coloring Techniques for Card Making features three of the most popular coloring techniques in card making today--water coloring, colored pencils and using alcohol-based ink markers. Each chapter showcases one particular technique and includes an introductions that will help you choose the products that are right for you, and will walk you through the steps to creating one of our featured projects. Easy-to-follow instructions, detailed materials lists and helpful coloring tips will make it easy for you to achieve stunning card-making results. As a bonus, enjoy a chapter that focuses on ways to highlight and accentuate your projects with products such as glitter and gel pens, shading techniques and methods for creating the look of texture with color.

This is one of the five cards that I have published in the book!

It is entitled "Birthday Bloomers"
The stamp is from the "Bless My Bloomers" set from Clear Dollar Stamps and the paper is all from The Paper Temptress.
(please see the card recipe at the end of this post for all of the details)

I was so honored when asked to join this amazing group of ladies as one of 12 contributing artists! I am very humbled because these are the artists whose work has inspired ME. I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy! ;)
It was such a fun project to be a part of! The hard part was not telling people until we were told we could go public. It takes months and months of behind the scene work to get such an amazing book to the shelves!
We were told to grab a tissue before we opened the book. It is truly amazing seeing my cards photographed by a professional photographer, with details written by a wonderful team and edited by some of the best craft editors in the business! I did need the tissues!
After I skimmed through to see my cards (admit it...you would have too. LOL!) I went back and studied every page and photo. I am still in awe! I just know that anyone who gets one will refer back to it time and time again for inspiration, tips and techniques.

We are pleased that you have joined us for the hop!
Be sure to leave a comment at each blog along the way to be entered for your chance to win a free copy of Coloring Techniques for Card Making!  The more blogs you comment on the better your chances of winning!

Woooo Hooo! Check out page 61 of CardMaker magazine's May 2010 issue! That's me!!! Blog candy to celebrate!

THIS CANDY IS NOW CLOSED.
Hello All!

I am soooo excited! I have only been making cards a couple of years and am thrilled to have a card published in CardMaker magazine! It was the first time I ever submitted a card! The hard part was waiting for it to hit the stands (mail box). ;)

My card is on page 61 of the May 2010 issue that is just out. I couldn't wait for my mail man so I downloaded the online version last night then my hard copy came today!

It is titled "Thinking of You" and was fun and easy to make. Check out the magazine for the recipe and instructions. (I am not allowed to post them here and rules are rules ;D ). It is made with a Simon Says Stamp exclusive stamp set called "WITH DEEPEST SYMPATHY".

To celebrate being "published" I am giving away 2 sets of candy! One to a current follower because I appreciate your wonderful comments and the fact that you check in from time to time to see what I am up to. The other one to a brand new follower because I love meeting new people!

What is the candy you ask..... each one will be a year's subscription (or extension) to CardMaker magazine AND the beautiful stamp set that I used to make this card.

All you have to do is become a follower if you aren't already, add a picture of the magazine or stamp to your sidebar with a link back to my blog, and leave a comment below. Make sure and tell me if you are a current follower or a new one. New ones will have a better chance of winning because I am guessing they will have the smaller numbers of comments but my current followers know that there will be more chances soon. I LOVE to show my appreciation with blog candy! This candy will remain open until May 1st.  I will draw names for the 2 winners and announce them on the 2nd..

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing in my excitement!

Hugs your way!

True :D
