Verve "Thanks So Much" Fun and Simple Card

Hello!
I am playing along with the mojolicious girls over @ Mojo Monday today. The sketch for this week is sooo cool!

I used some very pretty K&Company "Blue Awning" DP and some Core'dinations CS. The focal point is stamped on 140lb. cold-pressed European watercolor paper. I stamped the images by coloring directly on the stamps with my Tombo marker and stamping. I re-stamped with VersaMark and added some irridescent clear embossing powder. I then laid my pretty Spellbinder's Impressability over the image and used it as a stencil to sponge on some ColorBox Olive ink to add some interest to the main image background.
I then added some tiny little zig-zag stitching and a flower attached to a round Nestability circle. A little glue and some pop dots and voila'...a nice and easy "thank you" card!

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:
2 Red Bananas - "Think Round" ..create something with curves.
I used round Nestabilities, rounded off the corners of the sentiment panel and there are curves in the DP.
Corrosive - Distressing
I distressed around the main panel and the circle that the flower is on.
Creative Inspirations - Distressing
I distressed around the main panel and the circle that the flower is on.
Creative Card Crew - Distressing
I distressed around the main panel and the circle that the flower is on.
Belli - Use Glitter or Rhinestones
The DP is glittered and I added glittered embossing powder to the sentiment
YNS Challenge - "Embossing"
The DP is embossed, I used embossing powder on the sentiment, and the circle below the flower is dry embossed
Kitchen Sink - "A Stitch in Time" use stitching

My sister-in-law's "Whimsy Owl" birthday card and 9 challenges too!!

Hello and thanks for dropping by!
Today's card is for a very special person...my sister-in-law. I am truly blessed that my brother chose her to be a part of our family. I wanted to make her a special card. She loves purple and green so I chose to use. DCWV "Latte" stacks. (both the DP stack and the matching cardstock stacks)

I just discovered an awesome challenge blog called "Mojo Monday". I am sure you all have heard of it but, I never really participated in sketch challenges until I DT'ed for "The Next Level" and discovered I LOVE them! I hope you all will join in...they are really fun!
This is the sketch they asked us to use this week.

Another one of the design teams I am on is "Whimsy Stamps" and wanted to use one of their cute images. I just love this whimsical little owl!

I found this pretty green ribbon and the purple and green floral trim in the fabric department of Hobby Lobby. I think it works lovely with these colors. The tiny flowers on the branch and sentiment were hand and punched and glittered.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:

One Stop Craft Challenge - “Furry Things”
I hope feathers count! LOL!
Raspberry Ribbons Kits and Sketches - “Circles and Ribbon”
There are circles in the cardstock on the panel to the right of the image, on the inside, and on the envelope. The flowers on the trim are also circles
Stamp With Fun - “Use Shapes or Punches”
I used my nesties for the rectangles and a flower punch for the tiny flowers.
My Time To Craft Challenge – “A Bird in the Hand”
Owls are birds! I am in! ;)
Creative Inspirations – “Stitching Real or Faux”
Of course my card fits into this one…I always stitch!
Paper Blooms – “Animal Fun”
Hope I can count an Owl as an animal! ;)
Dutch Dare – “Use Cutting Dies and/or Punches”
I used Nesties for the rectangles and a punch for the tiny flowers.
Lily of the Valley Challenge – “Animals”
Now I KNOW my owl works for this one because one of the DT examples is birds! Woohoo!

The card base is made of my fave cardstocks...Bazzill Swiss Dots.

Thanks again for checking out my card. Please be a sweetie and leave a comment so I will know you dropped by!
Hugs!
