Showing An Old Photo Some Well Deserved Love Today! :)

Hi Everyone!

Just a really quick post today to share a project and to wish you all a happy Good Friday! :)

Now, I'm not really known for scrapbook pages but every now and then, I'll be throwing one at ya. :)
Today I wanted to share this 12" x 12" layout that I did of my son Kurt and his best friend (at the time) Samantha. They grew up together and Sam lived to the ripe old age of about 14. They were friends for a long time. :)

The puppy dog image I used is my "Sentimental Puppy" digi that is available @ Clear Dollar Stamps for just $2.50 for an instant download!
The papers are from DCWV "Pets" stack.

The digi comes with lots of cute sentiments!

Thanks so much for dropping by!
Hugs,
True :D

Time for The March Digi Releases @ Clear Dollar Stamps!

Hi again everyone!
This is my second post of the day so I hope you will scroll on down after you've read this post to see what else I have been up to. ;)

Today is digi release day @ Clear Dollar Stamps and I have 2 projects to show you.
The first was done with my "Sentimental Puppy" illustration. This is not the project I had planned on showing for this image. When I checked out Split Coast Stampers this morning they had a pretty color combo challenge going on today so I ran to my studio, whipped this card up, got photos done and changed my post. I will show the original project next week. :)

The digi set is available now for instant download @ Clear Dollar Stamps for just $2.50

The next project is a card set created with Laurie Wilson's ~ "Yummy Cupcakes" digi.
It comes in black and white with colored images too.

I used  the pre-colored green frosting cupcake for my card set.

The ribbon on these cards is also from Really Reasonable Ribbon and is from their March Ribbon of the Month Club set

I hope you will head on over to Clearly iStamp blog ad check out the links to the other girl's digi release posts.

Thanks for dropping by!

Hugs,
True :D

RRR Patriotic Challenge Card "God Bless America"

Hello Everyone!
Wow July 1st already! That means it is time for another fun Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge!
Hope you will come join us @ Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings for our "Patriotic" challenge.
Be creative, have some fun, and enter for a chance to win an awesome prize!

My sample card was done using this beautiful "Let Freedom Ring" digital stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps.
I colored it with Tombows, added some sparkly embossing on the stars, metallic watercolor on the pole and chalked in some clouds.
The papers I used are all from The Paper Temptress.
I chose to only use one embellishment on this card so it would show off that gorgeous Royal Blue Swirls ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. It is one of my all time favorites!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
One Stitch at a Time - Stars and Stripes
Quirky Crafts - Ribbons
Stamptacular Sunday - Stars and Stripes
Cuttlebug Spot - Independence Day
All Sorts - Embossing

Please head over to our design team blog and see the other beautiful samples the rest of the team have prepared for you. I am sure they will get your creative mojo juices flowing! ;)

As always, I appreciate any comments you would like to send my way!
Hope you all have a safe, happy and healthy holiday weekend!

Hugs,
True :D

Check out my friend Laurie's digis!

Hi everyone!
I have to toot about one of my friends!

I think it is so cool that some of the friends that I have met through stamping are venturing into stamp illustrating and digital stamps! My friend Laurie Wilson has been illustrating designs for Clear Dollar Stamps for quite awhile but she has now started selling digis on her blog also and they are too darn cute!
Her digi shop is called Clearly Delightful. She has some freebies too and you can enter her fun challenges for more!
Here is a card that Laurie did using one of her new digis called "Bird Bath Joy".
Isn't it the sweetest thing?  :)

Pop on over to Laurie's digi blog and take a peek. You will be glad you did!
Make sure and tell her True sent ya!
Hugs your way!

Woooo Hooo! My Original Artwork

OK...looks like the majority of you from my previous post, like the dog best.
Someone wanted to see it colored.
Your wish is my command! LOL!
I played a little more with my digi board and found some cool tools that make drawing smooth lines a breeze!
Here is Sam all colored up!
I need to make a card too!
Please comment below if you would buy this as a digi or a rubber stamp if offered. ;)
Thanks and hugs!

"Fred She Said" New Release Challenge DT Card + some other challenges

Hi Everyone!
I am soooo excited! Tracey Lynn Miller of "Fred She Said" is releasing a BUNCH of new digis! I have already played with some of them and they are too cute!
Fred (Tracey) ;) has decided to have a "New Release" challenge. All you have to do is go to her blog, download the adorable FREE flower pot digi, make a card with it, following the posting directions Tracey has on her page and you could win big! Hope you will join in on the fun!
I will be posting my card made with her freebie in the next day or two.
It will be a judged challenge. All of us DT girls will vote. The winner will win ALL...yes ALL of the new releases plus a $20 gift certificate!
Now, head on over HERE for your free digi and get to craftin'!
Oh...wait!
Check out my card below before ya go!
I used the new release "Miss Bitty" set from "Fred" Make sure and check out all of the other DT's cards too! We have some fabby artists in our little group! ;)

"Little Miss Bitty Bug" was done with a base of Black Bazzill Swiss Dots and the DP is Basic Grey's new "Lemonade" stack. The ladybugs were hand made by me and I painted Bitty's dress like a ladybug too. This qualifies her for the challenge over at "Stampin' For The Weekend" where they are giving us 3 "Rock and Roll 70's" song titles to choose from for inspiration. I chose "3 Times a Lady by: the Commodores. I guess mine would really be called "3 Times a Lady...Bug" LOL! ;)

This week's challenge at "Stampin' for the Weekend" is being sponsored by "Fred She Said" so you have yet another chance to win "Some Fred"! $25 gift certificate as a matter of fact! So I really hope you will join us!

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:
"Our Creative Corner's" "Triple Play" challenge. They have a list of embellishments and and you have to use at least 3 of them.
I used brads, ribbon, thread, and crystal lacquer.
Simon Says Challenge – “Summer Fruits” - Use summer fruit or summer fruit colors.
I used Basic Grey’s “Lemonade” stack which is lime, lemon yellow, cherry and strawberry colors.
Creative Inspirations – “Stitching…Real of Faux!”
I always stitch on my cards! They are naked without it! LOL!
Dutch Dare Card Challenge – “Use cutting dies and/or punches”
I used my Nesties for the image and frame and punches for the ladybugs and their spots.
Daring Card Makers – “Away with the Fairies”
I think Bitty should count as a fairy too! Don’t you? ;)
Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge – “Spots and Stripes” use ‘em. ;)
Bitty has spots on her dress, there are spots on the ladybugs, and the accent panel behind the image, the DP on the inside, and the ribbons are stripes.

Thanks again for stopping by! Please remember to leave a comment if you have a second. I just LOVE 'em!

Hugs,
True :)

My "Digital Delights" "EAC" + "DTC" Summer Time Frog Challenge Card

Hello All!
Hope you are staying cool!
Today's card is made with one of my good friend Wendy's digi stamps.
She has just started a new challenge blog called Delightful Sketches and this is my entry for this week's sketch. This little guy was from her digi site Digital Delights. He is one of her Freebie Friday digis. You should check it out. Every Friday she posts a new freebie!

I took the image copied it, flipped it upside down and mirrored it so it looks like he is looking at his reflection. That is one of the cool things about digis...you can manipulate them for your own effects!
I have used a hodge podge of papers. Most of them from my scrap pile but, the cool ice cream paper is "Imaginisce- Summer Cool-Chocolate Double Dip". The card body is my fav...Bazzill Swiss Dots.
I have used lots of Stickles and Crystal Effects on this little guy so he really shines! Isn't he summery in his shinny polka -dot floaty? I found some really neat polka- dotted ribbons to match.

Here is the sketch Wendy wants us to use for this challenge.
You should join us in this week's challenge. The prize is 3 didgis of your choice from her shop and a chance to be a guest DT!

I am also entering this card in the "Everybody-Art-Challenge" and the Digital Tuesday Challenge where thier themes for this week are "Summertime". I think this card fits nicely don't you?

Here are some more pictures to check out. I never seem to know when to stop clicking that darn camera! LOL!
Remember, you can click on any image to see it enlarged for better detail.

I thank you so much for dropping by! Please be a sweetie and leave me a comment so I know you were here!

Mertyl the Turtle...Made with a digi stamp from My Original Artwork

Hello All!
I have been busy designing some digi stamps from my original artwork that I hope to be offering for sale as soon as I get a good collection done up and figure out how to set up PayPal buttons. UUGGHH!
This is one of my first batches. Meet Mertyl the Turtle! A friend of mine suggested I do a turtle because she has one for a pet.
The papers are "Basic Grey" and "core'dinations". I really glossed up her shell but didn't quite get the second coat of embossing powder hot enough to be smooth. I think it really adds to the shell effect.
Please let me know what you think.
Remember, you can click on the image to enlarge.
Thanks for dropping by and I hope you have a great weekend! :)
