Gee....time sure flies when you are having fun!

I have been making cards for about 5 years now, and blogging for almost 4 of them. :)

A note from Lou Ann...Since 1983,  I has been crafting, painting and scrapbooking. Family & life,  have changed the direction of what I craft.  For years painting for craft shows dominated my time and I was productive from 8pm to 2am J, when the kids were in bed.  My three kids are now all over 21 and out on their own. Eight years ago I started working for Best Craft Organizers  at scrapbook shows across the US.  Where I fell in love with Magnabilities interchangeable jewelry. I was also introduced to a 1” button machine. Since I was traveling a lot, I started scrapbooking digitally and took classes from The Digital Scrapbook Teacher.  Being somewhat of a computer geek I found I liked crafting cute buttons to wear for inserts, zipper pulls and pins,  made from scrapbook papers, digital files and photos.

Really Reasonable Ribbon's January Blog Hop and My New Inky Antics Stamp and Paper Release!

Welcome to another...

Besides the hop, I have something else fun going on. I have 6 brand new Inky Antics stamp sets and a new paper line debuting this weekend in Anaheim, CA at CHA!

For my first card, I chose to use the solid pink satin ribbon from the set with images and sentiments from my #11155MC Swirly Bird Inky Antics Clear Stamp Set, and my #IA-PAC0003 "Everything's Coming Up Roses" designer paper.

I colored the images with Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol, then added the little white dots with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

The cardstocks are all from Discount Card Stock ant the Sage Green Pearls are from Want2Scrap.

I popped up parts of the birds using a different technique than I usually use. Here are a few pictures to show how I did it.

                                        

For my second card, I used the iridescent white ribbon from the set.

I just love how it sparkles so I added lots of sparkle to my card to match.
The cardstock again is from Discount Card Stock and the Purple Rhinestones from Want2Scrap.
I created the swirly background paper by embossing some brilliant White cardstock, inking the raised areas with yellow ink, then adding some Art Glitter over that.

The stamp set I used for this one is my #11159MC Sunshine and Flowers clear set from Inky Antics.
These stamp sets will be available tomorrow at Inky Antics.

Sneak Peeks of My New "Swirly Spring" Stamp and Paper Collection for Inky Antics!

Hi everyone!

I am super excited today because I get to share a few of the stamps from my new "Swirly Spring" line for Inky Antics, that will be available for purchase on January 14th!

These sets are: #11158MC Swirly Easter Clear Set, 11159MC Swirly Sunshine & Flowers Clear Set, and #11156MC Swirly Butterflies Clear Set. 

There will be wood mounted versions of may of these images available if you prefer that style of stamps. ;)

I also have also designed 6 coordinating papers to go with these sets. They will be available in both text weight and cardstock.

Time for Another Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop!

Hello everyone and welcome to the August Really Reasonable Ribbons Ramblings blog hop!

The August Ribbon Club set is made up of some beautiful purples and grays that look awesome together.

Now, I know when you think of using ribbon, masculine cards aren't the first thing that comes to mind. I needed a masculine card though, and thought I could kill two birds with one stone. These colors worked awesome for it if I do say so myself! :)

Here's my card.

I simply wove assorted ribbons and attached it to a piece of cardstock to make the focal point.

I embossed the gray background paper with an embossing folder, then hit the high spots with a watermark ink. The sentiment is an old Stampin'UP! stamp.

I hope you will try weaving ribbons if you haven't already. It is quite fun!
