Kissing Ball ..Mmmmmwah!

Hi Everyone!
I have some sad news....Today is the last day of my Discount Card Stock Guest DT stint. :(
I also have some good news....I was asked to come on as one of thier full time designers! Tehehehe!
I sooo love all of their beautiful cardstock and am super excited to get to play with it and the fun team that I will now be a part of!

Today's project is a little different. A couple of weeks ago I saw a kissing ball made by SCS'er Scrappycath, and just had to make one!

All of the pretty papers are from Discount Card Stock.
They are:

The ball is very simple to make. You just punch assorted flowers from paper, attach them to a styro-foam ball with pearl stick pins, and embellish with ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope you all have a safe and happy holiday weekend!

Hugs...and kisses!

Time For Another Inky Antics HoneyPop Blog Hop!!!! :)

Hi Everyone!!!

Welcome to our Inky Antics HoneyPOP Blog Hop! The talented Inky designers are featuring our five newest sets from the popular HoneyPOP Collection. If you came from Jovi's wonderful blog, you're in the right place. If you just happened here, you will want to go back to the start at the Inky blog.

The blog hop starts today and ends on Monday, May 30th, at midnight Central time. Please visit each DT members’ blog to view their HoneyPOP creations and leave feedback for them. At each stop along the way, you’ll find a SECRET WORD to collect. When you’ve gathered all six of the SECRET WORDS, return to the Inky Antics blog and rearrange the SECRET WORDS to complete the sentence in the entry form. Three winners will be drawn at random, and they will each receive one of the new HoneyPOP clear stamp sets and a coordinating honeycomb pad.

My first card was done with Inky Antics' sweet "Pretty Posey" HoneyPop set.

I colored this image with watercolors and paper pieced her dresses.

The papers are from DCWV's - Linen Closet mat stack.

I just love the cute little surprise flower center when you open up the card!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

My second card was done with the super cute "Cupcake Birdy" HoneyPop clear set.

I colored the birdies with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and made the inside ice cream "pop" with fun honeycomb paper pads. All three products are available @ Inky Antics! ;)
The the fun designer paper is called Chocolate Double Dip from Imaginisce's - Summer Cool line.

OK...
My SECRET WORD for you is "INSIDE".

Now...head on over and visit sweet Tex's blog for your next secret word.
But wait...don't forget to comment before you go to increase your chances of winning! :)
I would love it if you also follow me, if you aren't already, so you can come back and visit sometime! :)

Thanks and Hugs!

The Darn Tornado Got My Favorite Place to Shop + RRR Sale!

Hi Everyone!
With all of the destruction in Joplin Mo, including friends and family losing their homes and livelihood, I feel selfish for even thinking about it but....
This is a photo of my favorite place to shop in Joplin. :(

I just can't picture this place ever being the same!
Please keep them all in your prayers!

Joann's may be gone but I still know the best place to get beautiful ribbon and it is on sale through midnight tonight!

Head on over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings blog to get the codes!

Have a great day! And make sure to hug the ones you love!

Quick Fix With Copics!!

Hi Everyone!
Today I'm playing along with the girls in the Split Coast Stampers F4A565 "Opposites Attract" challenge and just about goofed!
We were supposed to use opposite colors on the color wheel for our projects. Now....being an artist, I know the color wheel like the back of my hand, so you would think I would have no problem knowing what complimentary colors are. Truly, I do! :)
I sat down, found a pretty orange yellow and was looking for a blue violet paper, but got sidetracked...had a brain fart...or whatever, and picked out a blue paper. I got it totally done, photographed, and almost finalized on SCS when it hit me what I had done.
I just about decided not to post it in the challenge but instead went for my magic Copic markers. Viola!

Here is before...

...and after I colored the blue paper, brads, and grill with Violet. :)

The image is from the "Father's Day" clear stamp set that I illustrated for Clear Dollar Stamps.

Thanks so much for dropping by!
I would love to know if anyone else has done something similar! :)

Have a great weekend!

Hugs,
True :D

My Big Girl Crayons! :)

Hi Everyone!
I thought I would share a picture of my color station. (My Big Girl Crayons)
Remember when you were a kid and got to open up a new box of crayons? The excitement of being the first one to use a brand new crayon was just over the top! ;) That's how I felt yesterday!

When I bought my very first Prismacolor pencils, I just bought the 72 pieces set thinking that I could mix any color I wanted with that many. I really could, but just wanted the ease of having all of the 132 colors. I found a company that had individual pencils on sale for .88 each so I sat down, figured out which ones I didn't have, and ordered the rest.
They came yesterday (Christmas LOL!) along with some really cool organizers to put them in. I spent a couple of hours sharpening pencils and organizing by color. It is going to be so cool having them right at hand and much easier to find!

I have 2 racks of Prisacolor Premiers, 1 rack of Prismacolor Verithins, 2 racks of Copics, 1 rack of stamp inks, 1 rack of Prisamcolor watercolor pencils, 1 square rack of Tombow markers, and the tall rack in back has all of my Gelly Rolls, and assorted markers. There are also acrylics, chalks, and my watercolor pallets.
OK....looking at all of my colorful goodies is making me want to get off of here and go color something.

Oh...the smell of Gamsol in the morning! Aaaaah! ;)

Catch ya later! :)

Hugs,
True :D

Live Life With A Song In Your Heart!

Hi Everyone!
I am playing along with the girls in the "Ways To Use It" WT323 challenge today. We were asked to use music as our inspiration. I used some pretty sheet music paper and a sentiment from the "Home Tweet Home" stamp set that I illustrated for Clear Dollar Stamps for my musical bits.

The beautiful 1 1/2" Ivory Crochet Lace is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The Brown Sheer Looped Trim is also from RRR but is temporarily out of stock (it's just too darn popular) They do have it available in Cream or White. Great colors to keep on hand because you can always color them with Copics or other inks to get whatever color you want! ;) And thats my tip of the day!  ;)
The flower is from Prima's ~ Roosevelt Collection and I added some of their Willow Heirloom Leaves.
The Cardstock is Discount Card Stock's ~ Kraft and Soot.
The designer paper is Textured Cream Sheet Music from The Paper Studio.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

My new "GOAT" Illustration Releases Today @ Clear Dollar Stamps! :)

Hi Everyone!
When Lori, from Clear Dollar Stamps, asked me if I could draw a goat digi stamp, I was up for the challenge but really didn't expect it to turn out to be something I would like to color. Well...I was wrong! :) It was a blast! It's one of those images that make you feel like a "KID" again when you color it.
Sorry for the Baaaaaaaaad pun! LOL!  ;)

Here is one of the cards I did using my "Goat" digi.

I used Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol to color the goat and grass. I added more pencil after the Gamsol to give it the "fur" effect and grass detail. The clouds were chalked in.

My digi comes with lots of fun sentiments for both the inside and outside of your card.
"Goat" is available starting today @ Clear Dollar Stamps and is just $2.50 for an instant download!

The cardstock is all available from Discount Card Stock. It's their: Soot, Simply Smooth White, and Kraft.
The pretty Black Gingham ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Head on over to the Clearly iStamp blog to see all of the other fun May digi releases!

Thanks so much for dropping by again! ;)

I would love to to hear what you think about my card...good or baaaaaad! Tehehehe!

Big hugs!

The beautiful ribbons are from Really Reasonable Ribbon's  May Ribbon Club set.

The drop dead gorgeous cardstock is Bronze, Mountain Rose, Jade Satin, and Jade Riccio, all from Discount Card Stock. I did some embossing which is always beautiful on these metallic papers.

The elegant sentiment stamp is from PSA Essentials "Mr. & Mrs." Peel and Stick stamp pack and the boarder stamp that I used gold embossing powder on, is from their "Whimsy Cakes" pack.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day  to all of my crafty friends!

I thought I would share my chocolate covered strawberries that my wonderful son and future daughter-in-law sent me. They are from a place called Sherries Berries and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them sooo much!
They have bought them for me before and knew how much I liked them so they had more delivered to me for Mother's Day. Sweet kids!
These babies are HUGE and so delish! I don't know where they get their chocolate but it is amazingly smooth! Mmmm num yummy!

I have big ol' honkin' man hands so I put a penny by one to show you just how huge these sweet babies are!

My baby and his lovely fiancée Kristin.

I am so blessed to be the mother of such an amazing son. He has always been a joy from the day he was born. Everyone who knows him, loves him and he truly cares about everyone he is around.
Thank you Kurt Wayne for being the reason this day means so much to me.
I love you with all of my heart!

Happy Mother's Day Everyone!

I'm The Guest Designer @ Discount Card Stock This Month! ~ Shower Invitation

Hi everyone!
I was asked to be the May Guest Designer over @ Discount Card Stock and today they featured my first project on their blog! :) I will have a project on there every Friday this month!

I was so excited to get complimentary box of pretty cardstock and start creating with it! They have so many colors and textures to choose from! I had no problem finding the perfect cardstock I needed for my son and future daughter-in-law's wedding colors!

This is a very simple and easy to make wedding shower invitation. Simple is what we all need when making multiples such as invitations...right? ;)
I designed the invitation in Word on my computer, printed it out on Discount Card Stock's - Brilliant White 110#, attached a pretty piece of ribbon and a sweet stamped wedding image then attached it to the softly colored Canary 67#, also from Discount Card Stock.

The wedding bells stamp and boarder is from PSA Essentials' "Mr. & Mrs." Peel and Stick pack.
(I am also guest designing for them this month so come back next Friday to see what else I have created with Discount Card Stock and PSA Essentials products and have a chance to win some great prizes! :)

CLICK HERE to see other projects I have done using Discount Card Stock's papers. ;)

I would so love it if you would head over to Discount Card Stock's blog and leave me some love there so they will know you came to visit. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy looking through their archives while you are there. They have some super nice projects for your inspiration.
HERE is a link to their shop too. They have some beautiful cardstocks and supplies and at very reasonable prices! The shop is organized by paper type, colors, and other categories so it is extremely easy to find just what you need fast! :)

"Frosted Rose Cake" Card...Just For The Fun Of It! :)

Hi Everyone!
I have tons and tons of work that needs done. Several stamp illustrations for Clear Dollar Stamps, some sample cards, some blog post write ups, a special project for an Inky Antics newsletter, and some January submissions for CardMaker magazine, but.... I just had to take a break for a few minutes!
I couldn't resist playing along with the girls over at Split Coast Stampers WT321 "Sweet Treats" challenge.
I have had this sweet Rose Frosted Cake stamp illustrated by Laurie Wilson for Clear Dollar Stamps for quite some time and never inked it up. I decided to give it some well deserved love today and made a super quick and easy card. I think it took less then 15 minutes! ;)

The designer paper is from Basic Grey's "Porcelain" stack.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope your day is a "SWEET" one!

Hugs,
True :D

My Future-Daughter-in-love's Wedding Shower and a Blog Candy Winner!

Hi Everyone!

Thought I would share a quick video of my son's fiancée Kristin's wedding shower that I had for her yesterday.

BTW...in the video, it sounds like I say "NOT the flowers" but I actually said "LOTS of flowers". That darn Kansas accent! :) I really did make them! :)

Hubby and I bought her the "party hat"/tiara so she would feel like a princess.

I also wanted to share a photo of my son Kurt and our fur-baby Zoey, chillin' after the party.
Zoey is so funny! She doesn't even look like a dog when she lays on her back like this. Her eyes and face just get covered up with wrinkles so much that she looks like some kind of unidentified creature. LOL!
She is actually a very beautiful 75lb. English Bulldog. :)

And now for the winner of my blog candy from the Creative Charms blog hop...

The winner is....Drum roll please.....

Please email me your snail mail addy and I will pop your goodies in the mail to you!

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to leave a comment! They are soooo appreciated! I wish you could all win! :)

Well....that's it for today. Hope you all have a wonderful week full of family, friends, and crafting!!

Hugs,
True :D
