Pink and Green Christmas Cookies! :)

Hi everyone!
With everything we have going on right now in the world, it is hard to be festive this Christmas.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends affected by the senseless school shootings in Connecticut.

I love to bake and have promised a couple of friends who have never tasted my baking before, some cookies, so I turned off the news for awhile and made some.

By the colors of my blog, I bet you can figure out my favorite color combination. :)

I used that theme for my Christmas cookies today. :)

These are still drying so I apologize for the plain way I photographed them. As soon as they dry, I will be sending them off in small batches to several crafty friends who have sent me thoughtful gifts throughout the year. Not a big or expensive gift, but I did put lots of time and ♥love♥ into them! :)

I think the frame cookies with the "wet on wet" holly and "dry on wet" pink berries are my favorite. I purchased the small square frame cookie cutter from Karen's Cookies.

There are so many wonderful cookie blogs out there, that I won't boar you by typing up the recipe here. Instead, I will send you to a couple of my favorites. (where I got the recipes).
I love Sugarbelle's Basic Sugar Cookie Recipe, because it is tasty, and you don't have to chill it before rolling. This time I used coconut flavoring though, and it is yummy!
The frosting is from Lila Loa's blog. It is called "Royal Icing with Dried Eggwhites". Both cookiers have lots of other yummy recipes and tutorials on their blogs, so make sure and look around while you are there! :)

***Updated photo***
I took a couple more shots now that they are dry. Getting ready to package them up to ship. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Please join me in praying for peace and comfort for the families affected by last week's horrific events.
