"Escape Your Comfort Zone" With The CardMaker Girls Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to another fun blog hop with the CardMaker magazine blog design team!

If you are here from sweet Anya's blog, you are in the right place. If you just happened onto my blog, you will want to head back to the CardMaker blog where it all starts.

Brooke asked  us to create a card using a technique that we don't normally use, and escaping our comfort zone.
I have always loved seeing people do Zentangle. Zentangle basically is doodling in a controlled manor using repetitive designs. Mind you, I am sure not a pro. I've only done it once or twice, so my version is very simple.

I wanted to create a "Thank You" card for Brooke. She is the fearless leader of the fun CardMaker magazine blog team. She keeps us all organized and under control  :) ....and she ROCKS!!!

This is how I started out

Thanks so much for dropping by today. If you liked my card, I would love for you to leave me a comment before you go. BTW...you can leave a comment if you didn't like it too.  ;)
I hope you will Google Zentangle, look for more professional examples, and give it a try. It is very fun and relaxing! :)

Your next stop on the hop is back to the CardMaker blog, where I am sure Brooke will have something awesome to share with you!  :)

Here are the links to the rest of the girls on the hop, just in case you hoped in somewhere in the middle  :) ...

Time for Another Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop!

Hello everyone and welcome to the August Really Reasonable Ribbons Ramblings blog hop!

If you are here from the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog, you are in the right place. If you just happened on to my blog, you will want to head back there so you don't miss a thing.
The August Ribbon Club set is made up of some beautiful purples and grays that look awesome together.

Now, I know when you think of using ribbon, masculine cards aren't the first thing that comes to mind. I needed a masculine card though, and thought I could kill two birds with one stone. These colors worked awesome for it if I do say so myself! :)

Here's my card.

I simply wove assorted ribbons and attached it to a piece of cardstock to make the focal point.
I embossed the gray background paper with an embossing folder, then hit the high spots with a watermark ink. The sentiment is an old Stampin'UP! stamp.
I hope you will try weaving ribbons if you haven't already. It is quite fun!
The monthly Ribbon Club kits work great for this technique because Bonnie has already picked ribbons that look awesome together. Not a member yet? CLICK HERE to find out all of the details and/or sign up.

Please make sure to leave a comment on my blog and on each of the other girls blogs, because as always, there will be a prize and lots of inspiration. I have seen a couple of sneak peeks and the girls have really outdone themselves!

Your next stop on the hop is sweet Linda's blog.

Thanks for dropping by today!

I've Been Gettin' Artsy With Sugar! :)

Hi everyone!

I love creating...whatever the medium. :)
I recently broke out with some long neglected cookie cutters, after being inspired by some cookies I have seen on Pinterest as of late. :)
Here are just a few I created.

Hope your weekend is a SWEET one! :)

Ooops! My Blog Hop Blunder, But Please Come Join in on the FUN!!!

Hi everyone!

Bet you are here looking for my project for the Card Swap/CardMaker "Treat Yourself" blog hop.
Well.....somebody has been so busy as of late that she wrote the hop date down wrong on her calendar.
Surely not me right? I never mess up a hop! Well...sorry to say there is always a first! UGH!

My apologies to my fellow participants and hoppers.

If you just happened onto my blog, head over to the CardMaker blog where it all starts, to get the details and to see Brooke's darling card.

If you have been following along on the hop, you are here from Margaret's blog. You also know the details, so I won't make you read all of that again. ;)

My letter is...

~*~*~*~"O"~*~*~*~

Your next stop on the hop is Golda's blog.

Here is the full list in case you get lost (or if someone goofs besides me).    ;)

Hope your day is going better than mine. :)

Hugs,

"Dream" Canvas for Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge and Art Glitter Post

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I just have a sneak peek to share with you today.
It's time for another fun Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge.
The theme is "Bling with Ribbon".
It's also my day to post over on the Art Glitter blog.
I created an 8"x8" canvas for Want2Scrap to display at CHA and it works perfectly for both of today's posts. Here is the peek...

Yep....that's drywall fabric on my art canvas! I had quite a bit left from a home-improvement project and thought I  would incorporate some of it in my artwork. What do you think? :)

Why not join in on this week's challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon? You might just win one of two prizes, and you will definatly have fun! :)
Don't have time to play along? You can still head over there and take a quick look at the beautiful projects the other girls have created for you.

If you would like to see the entire project with detailed info, please visit my post on the Art Glitter blog. :)

Thanks and....
