Pink and Green Christmas Cookies! :)

Hi everyone!
With everything we have going on right now in the world, it is hard to be festive this Christmas.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends affected by the senseless school shootings in Connecticut.

I love to bake and have promised a couple of friends who have never tasted my baking before, some cookies, so I turned off the news for awhile and made some.

By the colors of my blog, I bet you can figure out my favorite color combination. :)

I used that theme for my Christmas cookies today. :)

These are still drying so I apologize for the plain way I photographed them. As soon as they dry, I will be sending them off in small batches to several crafty friends who have sent me thoughtful gifts throughout the year. Not a big or expensive gift, but I did put lots of time and ♥love♥ into them! :)

I think the frame cookies with the "wet on wet" holly and "dry on wet" pink berries are my favorite. I purchased the small square frame cookie cutter from Karen's Cookies.

There are so many wonderful cookie blogs out there, that I won't boar you by typing up the recipe here. Instead, I will send you to a couple of my favorites. (where I got the recipes).
I love Sugarbelle's Basic Sugar Cookie Recipe, because it is tasty, and you don't have to chill it before rolling. This time I used coconut flavoring though, and it is yummy!
The frosting is from Lila Loa's blog. It is called "Royal Icing with Dried Eggwhites". Both cookiers have lots of other yummy recipes and tutorials on their blogs, so make sure and look around while you are there! :)

***Updated photo***
I took a couple more shots now that they are dry. Getting ready to package them up to ship. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Please join me in praying for peace and comfort for the families affected by last week's horrific events.

Really Reasonable Ribbon's December Blog Hop

Hello everyone, and welcome to our final

of 2012!
If you are here from the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog, you are in the right place. If you just happened onto my blog, head on back there and start at the beginning. You won't want to miss a thing!
I simply LOVE the colors in this months monthly Ribbon Club set!

My 50th birthday was a few weeks ago and my sweet friend Lisa Lara sent me a birthday goodie package that had some Basic Grey paper pads called Fiction and Fact, as well as some matching buttons. I have been wanting to play with them and the teal colors in this months set matched perfectly!
I have always admired Lisa's flair for beautiful CAS cards so I went with a simple design that shows off the pretty papers and ribbons.

The Kraft cardstock is from Discount Card Stock, the Le Crème pearls from Want2Scrap, and ink from Ranger. Not sure about the stamp. Sorry. :(

Here is a peek at the goodie set that Bonnie will be giving away to one lucky commeter.
Make sure and leave some love on all of the girl's blogs to increase your chances of winning! :)

Not a Really Reasonable Ribbon  ribbon club member? Why not give yourself a Christmas gift that you will receive again and again? You can get all of the details HERE!

OK...your next stop on the hop is sweet Judy's blog. I'm sure she has something special to share with you! :)

Thanks so much for hopping by!

CardMaker and Flower Soft Blog Hop

Hi everyone!
Welcome to our CardMaker Magazine and Flower Soft blog hop!
The girls from both teams have joined forces to bring you some fun cards featuring Flower Soft and animals.

If you are here from sweet Stephanie's blog, you are in the right place. If you just happened onto my blog, you will want to go back to the CardMaker blog to start from the beginning.

For my card, I decided to use one of the stamp sets that I illustrated for Inky Antics called Punny Christmas Cows.

I stamped the cow several times and layered different parts to give it lots of depth. I used  Flower Soft's - Polar White for the snow and their ultra-fine white and black on the cow.

Thanks so much for hopping by!
Your next stop on the hop is Vicki's delicious blog. :)

Card Recipe:
Brilliant White and Black Licorice from Discount Card Stock; #11125MC Punny Christmas Cows clear stamp set from Inky Antics; Moss Green and Red Shimmer Satin ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon; White, Black, and Red pearls from Want2Scrap; Square Nestabilities from Spellbinders Paper Arts; Prismacolor Pencils; Gamsol; Staz-On Jet Black ink; Martha Stewart Holly punch: Provo Craft Snowflake embossing folder; Judikins- Diamond Glaze; adhesives by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Black Friday Crafty Deal!

Don't miss the AWESOME deals!

All Things Altered Winter Blog Hop (with prizes!)

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the All Things Altered Winter Blog Hop!
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, surrounded by friends and family! After all of that hard work cooking and cleaning, you deserve to take a little break and hop along with us!

If you are here from Candice's wonderful blog, you are in the right place. If you just happened on to my blog, head on back to Pam's blog, Scrapbook Flair. That's where it all starts. You don't want to miss a single project or opportunity to win some fun prizes!

My project is very simple, but don't we all need simple this time of year? If you are like me, you are in the hyper-holiday mode and it just seems so hard to get my "to do" list whittled down.

I decided to alter a little 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" spiral notebook.

I used My Mind's Eye - Signature Christmas Holiday Glitter Book to cover the front and create the die cuts. The dies are Spellbinder's #S5-121 Frosty Forms set. I blinged it up with White and LeCreme Half Pearls from Want2Scrap, and assorted ribbons and lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I thought I would give a gift to one of my wonderful followers since it has been awhile and I love sending happy mail.

How about the notebook that I created for this hop and some bling from my favorite bling shop....Want2Scrap?  :)

Just follow my blog (if you don't already) and leave a comment below. My followers area is at the top of my blog, just under my photo.

I will draw the lucky winner on Sunday November 25th.

Your last stop on the hop is at sweet Pinky's blog. Bet she has something really cool to share with you!

Thanks so much for hopping by! :)

It's my day to post over on the CardMaker magazine blog and I would love for you to go check it out!
I pulled out some of my 2007 issues (Yes...I hoard CardMaker magazines F-O-R-E-V-E-R) and found a card to replicate for my "Outside the Box" article.
Head on over to see the card I picked and how I used it for inspiration.
Please leave a girl some love while you are there.
Everyone needs a little love every now and then! :)

Have a wonderful day my friends!

CardMaker Holiday Yummies Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to CardMaker magazine's "Holiday Yummies" blog hop!
The girls have all created fun little treat packaging with coordinating cards/tags to share with you today. We though it might give you some gift ideas for those special people in your lives who love to receive home-made goodies or treats.

I decided do a gift bag filled with peanut brittle. My little secret is, it's microwave brittle and only takes about 10 minutes from start to finish! You could whip of several gifts in no time flat.

To make it gift worthy, I simply used a flat bottom cellophane bag from ClearBags.com, added some My Mind's Eye Signature Christmas Holiday Glitter designer papers for a topper, then created this fun tag with Spellbinder's 2012 Heirloom Ornaments. I embellished the ornament with Ranger Ink's Gold embossing powder and Want2Scrap's White Pearls and Turquoise Rhinestones. The ornament was attached with some pretty Turquoise Organza from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The sentiment was stamped with a "vintage" Stampin' Up set and Ranger's Aquamarine Archival ink.

Now, the only question is....who's name shall I put inside? :)

I thought I would share my recipe just incase I might have got your mouth watering for peanut brittle. :)

Microwave Peanut Brittle
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups raw peanuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

Mix sugar, salt, and syrup in a microwave safe bowl and cook on high for 5 minutes. Working quickly, stir in peanuts, vanilla, and butter. Microwave an additional 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from microwave and stir in baking soda. Quickly pour onto a baking sheet that has been coated with butter or non-stick spray. Cool, break into pieces and enjoy!

Make sure and visit the rest of the girls to see what yummy gifts they have to share. :)

If you just happened onto my blog, make sure and go back there to start at the beginning. You won't want to miss a thing!

The girls have all created projects using Really Reasonable Ribbon's November Ribbon Club Set.
It is packed with beautiful textures, sizes, and shades of reds and blacks.

I decided to create a Christmas ornament with a couple of the red ribbons, some HoneyPop paper, and my #11123MC Christmas Ornaments HoneyPop Clear Set available at Inky Antics.
(While on the Inky site, type 11123MC into the "search" box at the top of the page and click "GO" to see the set)

CardMaker Xyron Blog Hop

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the CardMaker Magazine blog team's Xyron blog hop!

I already had some Xyron products, but was super excited to see the goodies they sent me to play with!
 THANKS XYRON!

I created this card using both the Creative Station and the Mega Runner.

Curious about the designer papers I used?
I didn't! This card was done with designer fabric. ;)

First, I ran the fabric pieces through the Creative Station using the permanent adhesive cartridge.

The back of the tool has a cutting blade for convenience.

After adhering the fabric to my cardstock then trimming to the sizes I wanted, I used Xyron's Mega Runner to put it all together. Fun fun products!

Thank you all for hopping by!
Make sure to visit the other girls to see what they have created with the help of Xyron. :)

I would also like to invite you over to Beth's Ain't She Crafty blog. It is a great place for lots of pretty projects created with Xyron and other fun products.

Have a wonderful day, and don't forget to do something crafty! :)

Inky Antics Christmas Blog Hop! :)

Hi everyone!
If you are here from sweet Jovi's blog, you are in the right place.
If you just happened onto my blog, you will want to go back to the Inky blog where it all starts. :)
The girls have all created projects with some of Inky's latest Christmas stamps.
I know...it's not even Halloween and we are sharing Christmas cards. But, you know how it is when you are a card maker though. You have to start early! We are leaving you plenty of time to check out some of Inky's newest sets, get them ordered and still have lots of time to get your cards done. :)
I am super excited because this is the first hop that includes my stamps! My friend Tex (Bev) and I will be sharing cards created with stamps from my Punny Christmas Critters line, and the other girls will be sharing projects created with the wonderful Tammy DeYoung's new images.

My card was done with #11129MC Punny Christmas Pups clear set. It is also available as wood mount...#0095H Fleas Navidad.

This is what the entire set looks like.
You can get a link to it and the other stamps the girls have used for this hop HERE.

I loved "decorating" the tree, and thought I would share a close up. The glitter and rhinestones almost look like lights. :)

Card Recipe:
Designer Paper: KaiserCraft - Belle Collection
Cardstock: Discount Card Stock -  Posh Red Linen and Brilliant White
Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon - Ruby Red Diamond Satin
Other:
Want2Scrap - 72 Count Red Rhinestones
Art Glitter - D59 StarDance Hexus Grande Dazzlers
Prismacolor pencils, Gamsol, StazOn Jet Black ink, JudyKins Diamond Glaze, Beacon Fabri-tac, Scotch ATG, sewing machine with red thread, Bow-easy

The blog hop starts today and ends on Sunday, October 28th at midnight Central time. Please visit each DT members’ blog to view their projects and leave a comment for each designer. The more you comment, the better your chances are to win. (Limit one comment per blog, please). TWO people’s names will be drawn at random to receive an Inky Christmas clear stamp set. The winners’ names will be announced on the Inky Antics blog next Monday, so remember to stop back and see if you've won.

Your next stop on the hop is Michelle's inspiring blog. :)

Thanks so much for hopping by!
