Woooo Hooo! Check out page 61 of CardMaker magazine's May 2010 issue! That's me!!! Blog candy to celebrate!

THIS CANDY IS NOW CLOSED.
Hello All!

I am soooo excited! I have only been making cards a couple of years and am thrilled to have a card published in CardMaker magazine! It was the first time I ever submitted a card! The hard part was waiting for it to hit the stands (mail box). ;)

My card is on page 61 of the May 2010 issue that is just out. I couldn't wait for my mail man so I downloaded the online version last night then my hard copy came today!

It is titled "Thinking of You" and was fun and easy to make. Check out the magazine for the recipe and instructions. (I am not allowed to post them here and rules are rules ;D ). It is made with a Simon Says Stamp exclusive stamp set called "WITH DEEPEST SYMPATHY".

To celebrate being "published" I am giving away 2 sets of candy! One to a current follower because I appreciate your wonderful comments and the fact that you check in from time to time to see what I am up to. The other one to a brand new follower because I love meeting new people!

What is the candy you ask..... each one will be a year's subscription (or extension) to CardMaker magazine AND the beautiful stamp set that I used to make this card.

All you have to do is become a follower if you aren't already, add a picture of the magazine or stamp to your sidebar with a link back to my blog, and leave a comment below. Make sure and tell me if you are a current follower or a new one. New ones will have a better chance of winning because I am guessing they will have the smaller numbers of comments but my current followers know that there will be more chances soon. I LOVE to show my appreciation with blog candy! This candy will remain open until May 1st.  I will draw names for the 2 winners and announce them on the 2nd..

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing in my excitement!

Hugs your way!

"Live Life in Color" Peacock Card & my comment candy winner!

Hello All!
Happy Easter!
"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die."
-- John 11:25-26

The beautiful papers (with the exception of the glitter papers) are from The Paper Temptress.
See my card recipe for the names.

A Big Bountiful Batch of Beautiful Butterfly Birthday Cards :)

Hi Everyone!
I have been asked by quite a few people if I would make some less expensive cards that can be mailed with a standard stamp. I will also be attending some events and craft shows later in the year and have decided to take some cards to sell with me. This is my very first "batch" of cards.
I used Clear Dollar Stamps super versatile "Birthday Celebration" set, designed by Lori McCroskey.

Card Recipe:
CDS STAMPS USED: Birthday Celebration
CS/PAPERS: Basic Grey's "Green at Heart", Flourishes white, Stampin'Up's Certainly Cellery
INK: Staz-On

TECHNIQUES: watercoloring, stamping, sewing, dry embossing
SPECIAL NOTES: I forgot to punch holes in the scalloped boarder before I attached it to the card so I made the dots with acrylic paint....where there is a will....there is a way!

Hugs,

Here is a card that Laurie did using one of her new digis called "Bird Bath Joy".
Isn't it the sweetest thing?  :)

DT call for my friend Shawne's new digi shop "Studio 313 Exclusive Creations"

HI!!!!
My friend Shawne Arnold does the cutest drawings and when she asked if I would like to play with one of her brand new digis.....I just had to! I wanted to help spread the word that she will be opening shop in a few weeks and is on the hunt for her first ever design team! It is sure to be a fun time for the lucky girls that get picked. Shawne is a real sweetheart and is very talented. She already illustrates for Clear Dollar Stamps but is branching out on her own now too. You can see some of her images HERE at the store to get an idea of what kind of cute stuff she creates.

If you would like to apply, head on over to her blog where she will have the details and you can pick up a free digi to use for your try out.

I will be a reoccurring special guest DT. I would love to be full time but already have tons of irons in the fire on top of a full time REAL job. LOL!

I did this card to show off her "Easter Egg Hunt" digi. Isn't the ruffled covered hinny the cutest? :)

Please make sure and leave me a comment before you go visit Shawne and make sure you tell her that True sent ya!

Hugs,

Some of my OWOH winnings!!!!

Hi!
About a month ago I was involved in a huge blog hop called "One World One Heart". It was created by the crazy but wonderful Lisa Swifka as a way for artists all over the world to meet each other by visiting blogs we might never have ever seen otherwise. It was a fun ride and I was a very lucky girl when it comes to the blog candy part. I won 9 candies from some really awesome people!!!! Along with the ones from the US, I got one from Germany, one from the UK, and one from Australia! So fun!!!
It was a blast picking up my mail for a few weeks! Almost like Christmas!  :)
I am still waiting for 3 of them to arrive but will post them when they get here. I didn't want to wait any longer to thank the ones who's I have already received.

These beautiful tags are from Pat Winter.

This adorable necklace is from Nicola Toms

The beautiful silk fabric is from Shashi Nayagam and she threw in some extras too! Some jaw-dropping lace and bead trim! So sweet!

These stunning rose natural pearls are from Beth Bricker. The picture doesn't do them justice. They are AWESOME!

This pretty corsage is from Christen Brown.

I absolutely LOVE this artsy necklace made by Jodi Creager. You should visit her blog and check out her dolls....they are AWESOME!!!!

Thanks to you all! I love and appreciate all of my gifts! It was a pleasure getting to meet you all also!
