Yikes! The World's Messiest Craft Room or Another Episode of "Hoarders"?

Hi everyone!

Today is my day to share my crafty space over on the CardMaker blog.
I try to keep a half way decently organized crafty room, but lately it had gotten away from me! This is what it looked like the day before my "My Crafty Space" article and pictures were due in to CardMaker blog.

Please feel free to share this picture with your family so they will see that you are not the only crafter who gets "a little" messy.  ;)
Head on over to the CardMaker magazine blog to see the after shots. :)

Please leave a little love while you are there so I won't feel so bad. :)

Looks like you like to keep everything in arms reach. Oh, did the craft fairy come to clean this up for you? I love it that someone else crafts like me. You are a jewel in the crafting industry. Thanks for sharing what it looks like behind the scenes (your cards are always gorgeous). I have been a follower for a long time. Have a great day. Now I am off to go see what the other version of this room looks like. Hugs. :)

Hello True

It must have been a nasty gust of wind that caused all this mess! LOL
I have looked at the 'after' pictures - wow it must have taken you ages to tidy up.
I love your space - my crafting space is just the dining table in the kitchen, so I have to clear up at the end of every session. :( I have got boxes of stuff in different rooms of the house - not very tidy or efficient. I just have to dream of having a craft room of my own one day!
Love, Andrea xx

This is exactly why it is imperative that a crafter has her own craft room. Simply close the door and you don't have to worry about it! I find it very hard to keep my room neat when I'm working, but I do much prefer a neat and organized workspace. I'd rather be crafting than cleaning though.......

So glad to see this 'creative mess'!! Makes me feel normal! I just cleaned and purged my space and it feels so good...but I know it won't last. Thanks for sharing your space!

I want to come play in that space! Now I am going to go see the cleaned up version. Did you just put it all Ina box in the hallway!? :)

That's what mine looks like most of the time... complete with floor debris. Thanks for sharing your space! Love it! Happy Friday.

Ha! Love it! It is always nice to see I'm not the only tornado crafter that leaves their room looking like a disaster after every project. I know its time to organize and clean when I'm down to a card sized area to craft in!

Love that you were brave enough to show us the truth! this is how my room looks in the middle of stuff. then I clean up before moving to the next project. I have to have everything where I can see it. will show this to hubby so he knows its not just me.

I love the phrase "tornado crafter"! If my craft room isn't messy, I haven't been using it. Having a place for everything makes cleaning up go pretty fast though. Thanks for sharing your space with us.

Your room all cleaned up looks fabulous girl!! Honestly I have to tell you that your before room looks clean to me :0) I am a super mess!! Walking tornado. Maybe you could come to my house and help me play with all my toys...and motivate me to put them away. Hugs! I got to check out your cookies below!!

I'm so glad to see there is someone out there that is as messy or messier than me. I used to clean up after each creative session, but I found that I was spending more time pulling everything out and putting it away than actually crafting. Now I just clean it up every couple of weeks or so. It shows I'm actually doing something.

LOL! That's awesome! I bet it was a lot of fun getting it to that state! Glad to see that we aren't the only ones!!

LMAO! And I thought mine was bad! Love the after shots...very pretty and tidy! The question is how long did it take to clean everything up?

Hiya

I've hopped over from seeing your 'after shots'... boy I love the before shots. Thats more like it.

I take part in a weekly blog hop /link party which originated in the UK 3 years ago almost - the weekly feature is called WOYWW - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Now crafters from all over the world link up a picture - a snapshot of their desk that morning or the night before. We're on week 178 this week. Julia at the Stamping Ground is the 'hostess' and kicks it off by posting Mr Linky up - then people literally race to make the number one spot - It's so funny.

Lots of friends have been made, and people have actually met up. Check it out:

I loved your before and after - you have an awesome craft room.

That looks just like my room. My hubby said to me how do I make such a mess when I'm paper crafting? It doesn't take much to get a room to look like this! ;)
