My First Card as an "I Brake For Stamps" Full Time DT Member

Hello All!

A while back, I guest DT'ed for I Brake For Stamps and loved their images! Della asked then if I would like to be a full time DT but with my full time job and other design team responsibilities, there was just not enough time. Yet another silver lining to getting laid off is...now I have time!

This is my first official post as a "real" I Brake For Stamps designer!

I got to go shopping for rubber and picked so many awesome stamps that it was hard to decide which to do first. I also just received my latest Really Reasonable Ribbon DT package and in it were these amazing Purple and Green Glitz Ribbons that I just couldn't wait to play with, so I picked the "Lovely Fairy" image to match the ribbons. I love killing two birds with one stone! Don't you? ;)  Tehehehe!

Hello!

I was given a bunch of pretty stamps from Kim @ Cuddly Buddly and was in the mood for a sparkly card. I thought this image would be a great one for sparkle and it had never been inked so...I inked her up and made her sparkle!

The stamp is called "Spring Fairy" and was illustrated by Kim Sponaugle who is just awesomely blessed with a beautiful talent!

"The Generous Fairy"

Hello,
I am getting in the Christmas spirit already!
Cuddly Buddly has some brand new fairy stamps created from awesome illustrator Kim Sponaugle's artwork. I have worked with six of them and they are all just so cute! This is the first one I want to share with you. He is called "The Generous Fairy". The holly paper is also by Cuddly Buddly from their "Fairy Fun Seasonal Papers" which are a digi download. The cardstock is Bazzill and Core'dinations.

I popped the fairy then popped his arms and holly again. I then added Stickles to him and the holly paper. Of course I added some stitching and a pretty ribbon too!

"Have a Fairy Merry Christmas!" Dottie's World Guest DT Card

Hi everyone!
Glad you stopped by to check out my final card as a guest DT for "Dottie's World". I had a blast playing along with the girls this past month. I'm a little sad that it is over!
This week's challenge was set by Louise. She said...
“I don't know about you, but my mind is definitely in holiday mode at the moment, so 'Holidays' is my theme for this week. Maybe a seaside theme, exotic colours from some far-off land, or perhaps a yummy ice-cream will provide your inspiration! Just choose your Charmed download to use and off you go!!”
Now, Louise is from the UK and I know that she meant holiday as in vacation but one of my family's favorite times to vacation is at Christmas so it works both ways for me!



For this card I used "Charmed Cards" "Holly" from the "Pixie Chicks #1 Collection".
I think this card looks a little like a Christmas package with a pretty little fairy sitting on top.

"Fairytale Dreams of You" My 3rd guest DT card for Dottie's World

Hi again!
I sure am having fun playing with the girls at "Dottie's World".
This week's challenge was set by Adele.

Today is my 12th Wedding Anniversary and I want to see that romance isn't dead. I adore making cards but making cards for those people in my life who are truly special to me is the best type of card making of all!
So show me hearts and roses, flowers and swirls, just whatever makes you picture dreaminess and romance! Hmmm...now don't forget to include a Charmed Download of course....I cannot wait to see what you all come up with!”

I have already done a card with this beautiful "Dreamer Pixie" image from Charmed Cards, but I thought she was the most "romantic" and that is what the challenge called for. Besides, a dear friend of mine fell in love with the first one so I sent it to her as a gift. I think I will keep this one. LOL!



This card was done with Bassill and core'dinations CS and K&Co "Madeline" DP. I have popped parts of the image a couple of times for that 3D look I love so much. ;)
Here is a tip for you...
You can buy mono colored roses for less money then the multi tone so I buy the less expensive and tint the centers with the same watercolors I use on my cards. You save money and the flowers match perfectly! I did that on this card. See...it works!

"Dottie's World" Guest DT Flower Pot Fairy Card + Challenges

Hope you are all having a great weekend! Thanks for spending part of it with me! ;D
This is the second card that I have done for my August guest DT spot with "Dottie's World". This challenge is... Monochrome – Set by Nicole.

My first hosted challenge...yikes-I'm kinda nervous!
I'd like to see monochromatic for your card....one color, any color...different shades and tones of the same color are totally fine.
The Charmed Download can be colored with as many colors as you'd like.

I used "Daisy" from "Charmed Cards" "Pixie Chicks #2 Collection". I painted her in flame colors. Don't you think she is HOT? LOL! I think the bright oranges contrast with the greens to really make her pop from the card.



I used Bazzill and some stash DP for this one. The green embellishments are understated so your attention goes to "Daisy". I tried something new with the image background. I doodled in some texture by moving my brush in a random circular motion. I was going for a subdued mossy feel. What do do you think? Did it add to the image or should I have left it white? I love input from my friends! Remember, you can click on any picture to enlarge for a better look at the detail work.

I doodled the image background in with a paintbrush.

My "Dottie's World" Guest DT "Fairy" + Tons of Challenges Card

Hello All!
This month I get to hang out with the awesome girls over @ "Dottie's World"!
I am their August Guest Designer.
This weeks "Black and White" challenge was set by Gunn.

This is what she asks:“
"I want you to make a card that goes in black and white. You can use all shades of black and white.
Skin tones are allowed on skin....
Elements are great on cards- charms, flowers or what ever you like. On these elements I want you to have ONE other color, just to make an contrast to the black and white. You don`t need to have this color on all the elements, but one should have the color you choose.

Of course, remember to include Charmed downloads.”



I used "Charmed Cards" "Water Lilly" from their "Pixie Chicks - Collection #1" She is popped from the page in places and sparkled and shined. I used green for my accent colors in the leaves on the bouquet, her eyes, wings, and the flower in her hair.




A friend of mine said I should name my card "Fairies Follies". She is a little on the sexy side. ;)

I used an assortment of papers from Bazzill, DCWV-Glitter Stack, Delish, and the beautiful "Laser Silver Lustre" is from "The Paper Temptress".



I am only showing this card as a sample challenge card for "Dottie's World but....I get to enter it in the following challenges!!!!

Creative Inspirations #14 – “Bling”
I have pearls and beads and glitter and shine and metallic thread and………I GOT BLING! : )

My Time to Craft #71 – “Floral Frenzy”
I used a bouquet of flowers and there is a flower in Lilly’s hair.

Creative Card Crew – “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!”
Lilly looks like she would be fun…don’t ya think? ;)

Stamp Something – “Paper Piece Something”
I paper pieced the frame around Lilly and some of her body parts and wings are pieced.

Daring Card Makers – “Bejeweled Bliss”
I have LOTS of bling and sparkle on this one!

One Stop Craft Challenge #40 – “Swirls and Pearls”
There are swirls in the black DP and pearls in the bouquet.

Paper Play – “Dimension” – make your card 3D
Always do! ; )

Pile it on – “At least 3 flowers” plus other challenges
I used 4 flowers in the bouquet and there is one on her head.
